MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in planning and leading daily practices, routines, and skill development sessions.
- Contribute to the technical and artistic development of student-athletes, with emphasis on safe skill progression, teamwork, and character growth.
- Foster a positive, inclusive team environment that reflects the values and vision of the Gustavus Gymnastics program.
- Assist with recruiting efforts, including evaluating prospective student-athletes, attending competitions, and participating in on-campus visits.
- Support student-athlete academic success and monitor academic progress.
- Ensure compliance with NCAA Division III, NCGA, MIAC, and Gustavus policies and procedures.
- Contribute to program operations, including travel coordination, meet preparation, video review, and event-day logistics.
- Represent the program and the College in a professional and ethical manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Coach or Athletics Department.
Prerequisites
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of USAG Level 10 rules, skills, and progression.
- Knowledge of NCAA Gymnastics Rule Modifications.
- 1-3 years of coaching experience at the NCAA or USAG Level 9-10 level.
- 1-3 years of spotting experience on multiple events.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
