What are the responsibilities and job description for the Barista Guest Experience position at Guru Donuts?
FOR OUR LOCATION IN DOWNTOWN BOISE
We are looking for highly motivated individuals to join our front-of-house crew! Our team consists of individuals who are detail oriented, enjoy working in collaboration, and are passionate about serving great donuts and divine coffee. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining an exceptional Guru experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Directing customer interactions from start to finish, including taking orders, boxing & plating donuts, making coffee, glazing donuts and completing point of sale transactions
- Understanding and educating our customers about all Guru products & processes
- Handcrafting made-from-scratch food items such as artisan avocado toasts and sandwiches
- Serving Form & Function coffee with exceptional quality. Includes utilizing trained coffee skills to create consistent espresso shots, steam milk, and pour the “perfect pour” every time.
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment that is organized, fully stocked, and appropriately sanitized
Our barista are cross-trained on glazing our amazing donuts!
SKILLS NECESSARY
- Previous barista experience preferred but not required
- Must enjoy interacting with customers
- Willingness to receive feedback and follow direction while contributing to a positive and collaborative work environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Intuitive attention to detail
- Must be able to perform general physical activities with speed and efficiency that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials and objects.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to stand on your feet for long periods of time.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more.
- Must be able to think on your feet, be proactive, and solve problems as they come along.
