Job Summary:
The Gourmet Server at GiGi’s is responsible for delivering an exceptional, detail-driven dining experience. This role requires a deep knowledge of the menu, wine, and service standards, combined with the ability to anticipate guest needs and execute flawless service in a high-volume, upscale environment. The ideal candidate embodies professionalism, confidence, and genuine hospitality, serving as a key ambassador of the GiGi’s experience.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Experience & Service Excellence
- Provide warm, polished, and attentive service from greeting through departure
- Anticipate guest needs and personalize the dining experience
- Maintain a strong presence on the floor while managing multiple tables seamlessly
- Handle guest feedback with professionalism and resolve concerns promptly
Menu & Product Knowledge
- Demonstrate expert knowledge of food, wine, and cocktail offerings
- Confidently describe dishes, ingredients, and preparation techniques
- Guide guests through menu selections and provide thoughtful recommendations
- Execute strategic upselling to enhance the guest experience
Service Execution
- Follow refined service standards including proper pacing, coursing, and table maintenance
- Ensure accuracy of all orders entered into Simphony POS
- Coordinate with kitchen and bar teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery
- Maintain impeccable table presentation and attention to detail
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with support staff, runners, and bartenders to ensure seamless service
- Contribute to a positive, professional team environment
- Assist in maintaining overall dining room standards and cleanliness
Qualifications
- Previous experience in upscale or fine dining preferred
- Strong knowledge of food, wine, and service etiquette
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
