Gunter Construction is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Estimator to prepare accurate, competitive estimates for heavy civil construction projects, including street rehabilitation, concrete paving, dirt work. Responsibilities
- Prepare complete project estimates using Bid2Win.
- Review plans, specifications, and bid documents.
- Perform quantity takeoffs using PlanSwift and Microsoft Excel.
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes.
- Develop accurate labor, material, and equipment pricing.
- Prepare bid summaries and recommend final pricing.
- Manage multiple estimates while meeting deadlines.
- Work closely with Project Administrators, Project Managers, subcontractors, and suppliers throughout the bidding process.
- Maintain knowledge of APWA, KDOT, MoDOT, and KCMO specifications.
Qualifications
- 7 years of estimating experience in heavy civil construction.
- Experience estimating street rehabilitation, concrete paving, dirt work
- Ability to prepare estimates on projects valued up to $10 million.
- Strong understanding of construction plans, specifications, and bidding procedures.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Bid2Win, PlanSwift, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Office.
- Experience with public works and municipal projects.
