Clinical Manager | Clinic Float Pool and Clinic Operations
Location: La Crosse and Onalaska Campuses
Schedule: Full‑time, 1.0 FTE
What You’ll Do
- Provide management oversight and strategic leadership for the Clinic Nursing Float Pool, ensuring efficient staff deployment across ambulatory locations, including the La Crosse campus, Onalaska, and regional clinics.
- Oversee Clinic Operations staffing and scheduling, working in close partnership with clinic, hospital, and system operations leaders.
- Directly and indirectly lead a diverse team of ~55 staff, including:
- Registered Nurses (RNs)
- Medical Assistants (MAs)
- Clinic Coordinator
- Office Assistant
- Personnel Schedulers
- Supervisor
- Manage employee performance, engagement, and development to ensure optimal daily operations and high team morale.
- Collaborate with other Clinical Managers, Clinical Operations Directors, and the Hospital Float Pool leadership to align staffing models and operational priorities.
- Serve as a key stakeholder in major initiatives, including:
- UKG Phase 2 implementation
- Future-state clinic staffing and scheduling models
- Full-time leadership position with standard weekday hours.
- On‑site presence is essential, with time shared between La Crosse and Onalaska (typically 2 days/week in Onalaska).
- No routine weekends or holidays.
- Highly collaborative, enterprise‑focused role with broad visibility across ambulatory operations.
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s degree in a health‑related field
- Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the state of Wisconsin
- 5–7 years of clinical or equivalent healthcare experience demonstrating leadership skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
- 1 year of management experience
- Ambulatory or clinic operations experience
- Experience leading leaders
- Familiarity with workforce management systems (e.g., UKG)
- An experienced leader who is comfortable leading through complexity and ambiguity.
- Calm, thoughtful, and able to navigate complexity to deliver clear, effective communication.
- Highly self‑driven and motivated
- Strong system-level mindset, proactive stakeholder engagement, and ability to balance competing priorities across clinics.
- Collaborative and relationship‑focused leader who thrives in an interconnected environment, capable of partnering across departments and organizations.
- Interested in shaping the future of clinic staffing, scheduling, and operations at a system level.
