Snapshot / Role Overview
We're looking for a Regional Construction Controller in the Dallas area to lead multi-entity financial operations for a portfolio of special projects across HVAC, plumbing, piping, sheet metal, refrigeration, controls, electrical, and fire protection.
Impact
- Deliver WIP schedules and percentage-of-completion reporting that guide project decisions.
- Spot margin risk early with operations leaders.
- Tighten regional controls and shorten the close.
- Build an accounting team ready for growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead month-end and year-end close across multiple regional entities.
- Own WIP schedules, job cost reports, and variance analysis.
- Enforce GAAP compliance, including percentage-of-completion revenue recognition.
- Review budgets, forecasts, and cost-to-complete with project managers.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing.
- Mentor and develop the accounting team.
Must-Haves
- Construction accounting leadership with multi-entity close experience.
- Deep command of WIP and percentage-of-completion accounting.
- Experience partnering with operations on job cost and margin.
Nice-to-Haves
- CPA.
- Experience in a multi-trade mechanical or MEP contractor.
Compensation and Logistics
