Job Overview
Process orders and serve food and beverages to customers in a courteous, friendly, and timely manner. Provide guests with the finest entertainment experience by being customer driven, team centered, result oriented and change ready to the improvements of our company.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Pick up and return of daily bank and deposit.
- Daily set up, break down and cleanliness of the workstation.
- Ring customer’s order in an accurate and timely fashion.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of items in the concession stand.
- Greets guests in a friendly manner, ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Keep condiment area stocked and clean.
- Responsible for daily cash, any shortage over $2.00 is covered at time drawer is counted.
- Be advised of any ongoing food and drink specials as well as general knowledge of Gulfstream Park property and Guest Services Resources in order to respond to guest inquiries to the best of their ability.
- Arrives on time, in proper uniform, and at assigned workstation at the start of the shift as scheduled.
- Be advised of week-to-week work schedule and any changes made according to business needs.
- Prepares all supply needed for daily service, setting up and closing of station, always maintains station clean and organized.
- Follow the directives of all department SOPs and policies regarding uniform, communication, and work duties.
- Adhere to Gulfstream Park Policies and Procedures to ensure the safety of the employees and guests.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred and/or a minimum of 1-2 years related experience in hospitality and or cashiers/retail service.
- May require the knowledge, skills, and abilities to work with personal computers, and have the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers.
- Strong communication skills and an understanding of guest services professionalism.
- Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to risks associated with travel between buildings and back and forth to other areas as may be required due to business demands. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, including second-hand environmental smoke. The employee may be exposed to the risks associated in attempting to resolve issues with extremely irate or difficult guests or staff members. The noise level in the work environment varies from light to moderate.
