Must Have The Following To Apply
- Abilityto work with and maintain high voltage 2300 volts and less
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical components and/or systems like: motors, motor controls, circuits, transformers, generators, compressors, switches, welding machines, drill press, drills, grinders, heavy equipment, cranes, lathes
- Ability to identify and be familiar with the following: millimeters, voltmeters, manometers, high voltage meters, clamp on amp meters, infrared heat guns, basic electrical tools, crimping tools (manual and hydraulic), conduit pipe benders
- Immediate hire following skills test
- Ability to operate equipment used in the repair and maintenance of electrical systems, planning and managing projects, preparing and maintaining correct records while adhering to safety practices and handling of hazardous materials
- Ability to perform mathematical equations, read technical information, compose a variety of documents, and/or facilitate group discussions and solve problems
- Specific knowledge based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: methods, techniques, materials, tools used in installation, troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of electrical systems/subsystems: troubleshoot mechanical, electrical system and blueprints and schematics
- Shipyard experience is a plus!
