This is a Contract (W2 Only) role in Fremont, CA on a 3-day hybrid schedule with our premier client!The role exists to lead software-centric project delivery for RF radio testing and compliance , ensuring scope clarity, sprint readiness, Gantt-based planning, stakeholder alignment, and on-time delivery for a high-visibility special project.What You Bring to the Role. (Ideal Experience)PMP certification (PMI) required5 years of experience managing technical software projects in hardware, embedded systems, or RF environmentsProficiency with ClickUp for planning, scheduling, and dependency managementStrong experience setting up and managing sprints , with exceptional prioritization, delegation, and organizational skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate trade-offs, risks, decisions, and status to engineering and leadershipPreferred: Agile delivery experience; familiarity with Jira or Trello (not required)Nice-to-have: Basic familiarity with Python and JavaScript sufficient to understand test tooling, automation concepts, and data parsing Solid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) (role is not hands-on coding)What You'll Do (Skills Used in this Position)Discovery & Scoping:Translate business requests into epics, user stories, and tasksDefine acceptance criteria and test-readiness gatesConfirm scope, dependencies, and success metricsPlanning & Scheduling:Build and maintain Gantt-based schedules in ClickUpMap dependencies and critical path; manage slack Maintain real-time dashboards; flag risks and schedule slippageAgile Execution: Set up and manage sprints; run daily scrumsEnforce task prioritization; track burndown metricsDrive incident and bug follow-ups; support retrospectivesRF Test & Compliance Support:Coordinate workflows with RF compliance, engineering, and lab operationsAlign software tasks with RF test plans and lab run sequencesTrack documentation, approvals, and equipment readinessStakeholder Communication:Publish weekly status updates: schedule variance, risks, readinessLead change-control discussions and decision reviewsKeep executives and cross-functional teams aligned on scope and progressProcess & Metrics:Standardize templates and operating rhythmsMonitor KPIs such as predictability, defect leakage, and MTTRMaintain program trackers and risk registersCompensation InformationThe expected salary range for this position is $59.50 - $74.50 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
