Maintenance
Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on zoo facilities, ensuring a safe and functional environment for both animals and visitors.
- Ability to do handy work like carpentry, electrical, welding, and plumbing and operate standard farm equipment.
- General maintenance and labor such as mowing/trimming/landscaping lawn and garden, minor pool care, and taking trash to the dump as needed.
- Able to perform sustained work of a physical nature may require heavy lifting with a minimum of 50 pounds
Prerequisites:
- Must be able to complete daily tasks in a timely fashion with minimal supervision once trained and keep accurate daily records.
- Must be physically fit and active, able to lift 50 pounds comfortably and be able to work in all types of weather.
- Must have the ability to stand, walk, reach, bend, lift, stoop, squat, kneel, push, pull, and climb for prolonged periods of time.
- Must possess a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn and a valid driver’s license.
- Must maintain a non-smoking/vaping work environment.
- Weekend and holidays are required.
