Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Line Cook to join our kitchen team at Guild Tavern. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry and a strong commitment to food safety and quality. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in preparing and cooking delicious farm-to-table dishes that meet our high standards. We serve elevated food and feature a wood-fired grill for the majority of our steaks and proteins.
Pay:
This is a tipped position, base rate is $14.50 an hour plus tips.
Total Average Earnings estimated depending on hours & schedule worked.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner while maintaining quality
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times
- Assist in inventory management, including stocking supplies
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during service
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other tools
- Participate in training new kitchen staff as needed
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a cook or in a similar role within the food service industry is preferred
- Knowledge of culinary techniques, food handling, and food safety practices
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Attention to detail with a passion for creating high-quality dishes
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
