Job Overview
We are seeking a Dishwasher/Food Prep team member to join our team at Guild Tavern. In this vital role, you will be the backbone of our kitchen operations, ensuring a clean, organized, and efficient workspace. Pay
This is a tipped position, base rate is $14.25 an hour plus tips.
Total Average Earnings estimated depending on hours & schedule worked.
Duties
- Maintain cleanliness of all dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment through proper washing and sanitizing procedures
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, portioning, and assembling ingredients to support culinary staff
- Support catering and banquet events by providing timely dishwashing and food prep assistance
- Ensure all food handling practices adhere to safety and sanitation standards to promote a healthy environment
- Help with general cleaning duties within the kitchen and dining areas to maintain a spotless workspace
- Follow all health regulations and safety protocols diligently to uphold the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, hotel, or catering environments is preferred but not required—training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Knowledge of basic food handling procedures and sanitation standards
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks with energy and efficiency
- Strong attention to detail when cleaning, organizing, and assisting with food prep tasks
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment, dishwashing machinery, or culinary tools is a plus but not mandatory
- Passion for hospitality, cooking, or culinary arts is highly valued
