Job Summary
Join the Guild Tavern team as a Bartender. Our bar is mostly a craft cocktail bar, high end wines, and a large selection of whiskeys to complement our steakhouse menu. Bartending experience required. More formal dining setting.
Pay:
This is a tipped position, base rate is $14.50 an hour plus tips.
Total Average Earnings estimated depending on hours & schedule worked.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, wine, craft beers, and spirits, adhering to established recipes and presentation standards
- Engage with guests in a friendly manner to enhance their overall experience and foster repeat business
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
- Process cash and card transactions accurately using POS system
- Manage bar inventory levels, restock supplies promptly, and assist with beverage recipe development to keep offerings fresh and innovative
- Monitor guest consumption responsibly, promote responsible drinking, and handle any concerns professionally
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and management to ensure smooth service during busy hours or special events
Requirements
- Proven experience in bartending, including cocktail mixing, wine knowledge, and spirits expertise; fine dining or nightclub experience is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of POS systems
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders swiftly during peak hours
- Demonstrated ability in beverage recipe development and techniques to craft signature drinks
- Food service experience with a focus on food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly attitude that creates a welcoming environment for all guests
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math understanding for inventory management, and accurate order processing
- Knowledge of beverage trends like brewing craft beers or cocktail innovations enhances guest engagement
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
