Overview
We are seeking a few dedicated and enthusiastic servers to join our team at the Guild Tavern in South Burlington. The ideal candidate will have a passion for local food and beverages, and providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. As a server, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our guests have an enjoyable dining experience by delivering high-quality service and maintaining the standards of our restaurant. We are a more formal-dining restaurant with high end steaks and fine wines, knowledge/experience of either a plus.
Pay:
This is a tipped position, base rate is $14.50 an hour plus tips.
Total Average Earnings estimated depending on hours & schedule worked.
Duties
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and welcoming manner.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately using the POS system (Toast).
- Provide detailed information about menu items, including daily specials and promotions.
- Ensure timely delivery of food and drinks to tables while maintaining proper presentation standards.
- Assist guests with any inquiries or special requests, ensuring their needs are met promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and service stations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient service and communication regarding orders.
- Adhere to food safety guidelines and restaurant policies at all times.
- Manage time effectively to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently during busy periods.
- Complete side work before and after shifts as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in the food industry or restaurant setting
- Knowledge of food safety practices is essential to maintain a safe dining environment.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables and tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
- A positive attitude and willingness to help others, ensuring guest satisfaction at all times.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds as needed.
Pay: $32.00 - $36.00 per hour
