What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paraprofessional / Teacher Assistant (K–8) position at Guiding Path Enrichment Center?
Legacy Heights Academy is hiring two (2) Full-Time Paraprofessionals for July 2026. This role supports teachers and students by reinforcing instruction, assisting with classroom routines, and helping maintain a positive learning environment.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Start Date: July 2026
Work Location: In-person, Augusta, GA
Key Responsibilities
- Support the lead teacher with classroom instruction and small-group learning
- Assist with student supervision, transitions, and daily classroom routines
- Provide academic and behavioral support to individual students as needed based on Christian principles
- Help prepare materials, organize learning spaces, and support classroom operations
- Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and positive communication with staff and families
- Assist with arrival/dismissal and other school-day duties as assigned
Required Qualifications (one of the following)
- High School Diploma/GED experience working with children, OR
- Associate’s Degree in Education (or related field)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting elementary or middle school students
- Strong communication, reliability, and teamwork
- Experience with small-group instruction or intervention support
Compensation
- $15–$25/hour, based on experience and qualifications
