Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Part Time Director of Therapies to lead our therapeutic services team. This pivotal role involves overseeing the delivery of high-quality therapy programs, ensuring that client needs are met with professionalism and compassion. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a comprehensive understanding of therapeutic practices, and a commitment to fostering a supportive environment for both clients and staff. As the Director of Therapies, you will play an essential role in maintaining excellence across all therapy services while promoting continuous improvement and innovation. The position will require at least 75% of the time on site in clinic but other work can be done remotely,
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic oversight and leadership for all therapy programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and client-centered care standards.
- Supervise, mentor, and support therapy staff, train staff in some areas, including speech therapists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and other allied health professionals.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance service quality and operational efficiency. Documentation review and management.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual client needs.
- Monitor therapy outcomes and utilize data-driven insights to improve program effectiveness and client satisfaction.
- Flexibility in attending interviews for staff and vetting qualified staff.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, licensing standards, and safety protocols across all therapy services.
- Facilitate ongoing staff training, professional development opportunities, and performance evaluations to maintain high standards of practice.
- Foster a positive, inclusive work environment that encourages teamwork, innovation, and professional growth.
Requirements
- Proven experience in managing therapy or rehabilitation services within a healthcare or community setting.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide multidisciplinary teams effectively.
- Knowledge of current therapeutic techniques, evidence-based practices, and industry regulations.
- Excellent organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a part-time capacity.
- Exceptional communication skills for engaging with clients, families, staff members, and external partners.
- A relevant professional license or certification in therapy disciplines (e.g., speech-language pathology, occupational therapy) is required.
