WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Guide Personal Training is seeking a dedicated Stretch Therapist to join our team. This position is available as part-time with the opportunity for full-time depending on performance, availability and qualifications.

This is a client-facing, hands-on role delivering one-on-one assisted stretch therapy sessions designed to help our members alleviate soreness, improve mobility, and enhance overall quality of life. Our stretch therapy program is a unique personalized service that is deeply valued by our members. We need someone who can uphold that standard with care, warmth, consistency and knowledge.

We will train and certify you in stretch therapy at no cost to you. Prior experience is a plus but is not required.

MAKE SURE YOU ARE COMFORTABLE WITH

• Working hands-on and one-on-one with clients of varying ages, injuries and limitations.
• Patiently learning our stretch therapy method. This will require at home learning and practice through an online module as well as hands-on training with our current therapists and eventually a two day intensive certification.
• Giving and receiving feedback. Feedback is essential for growth and sometimes that means having uncomfortable conversations in order for everyone to reach their potential.
• Putting others first. The clients are the stars of the show. We take a back seat to put them on a pedestal.
• Working with the queer community, willing to learn about proper pronouns, and use of gender-neutral language in your coaching.
• Assisting with client administration through technology, including our member management software, email and CRM.

ABOUT GUIDE

Our thriving studio specializes in semi-private personal training, meaning small groups of clients (up to 5 people), each working through their own individualized program. Stretch therapy is our newest service that we added two years ago to help fill the need for improved mobility and flexibility in our members. We also provide nutrition coaching, inbody composition scans and movement screens. Our stretch therapy service takes place in the front offices of our sibling business, Pioneer Valley CrossFit. We are independently and locally owned and operated.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

• Current CPR and AED certification
• Background in fitness, massage therapy, physical therapy, yoga or a related wellness field preferred
• Stretch therapy certification preferred; willingness to obtain is required
• Commitment to consistent weekly shifts
• Strong communication skills and a professional, client-first attitude

ROLE EXPECTATIONS

• Deliver one-on-one stretch therapy sessions at a high and consistent standard of quality
• Deliver introductory sessions that include, movement screens and presenting membership options through our intro sales process
• Maintain accurate client session notes and communicate progress with the management team
• Assist with client account administration (scheduling, memberships, etc.) as needed
• Participate in outreach activities, and regular team meetings
• Help maintain equipment, cleanliness, and the overall client experience
• Support coverage for other staff during absences when available

COMPENSATION

Compensation — Part-Time$32/hr ($25/hr during training period)

Gym Membership CompensationOpportunity to grow hours based on studio need and performance
