About Guide Behavioral Health

At Guide Behavioral Health, we’re on a mission to reimagine what modern adolescent mental health care can look like — compassionate, innovative, and deeply human. Based in Menlo Park, we provide evidence-based, outpatient treatment and holistic support for teens and adolescents navigating life’s toughest challenges. We serve 12 -17 year olds at the IOP and PHP levels of care.

We’re a growing organization with big goals, and we’re looking for a Clinical Director who’s excited to lead, inspire, and help shape the future of behavioral health in the Bay Area.

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Director to lead our clinical team and ensure the highest standards of patient care. Under the supervision of the President and Chief Clinical Officer, the role will supervise all aspects of our IOP and PHP programs for primary mental health and dual diagnosis patients. The Clinical Director will provide individual, group, and family therapy, manage intakes and discharges, lead treatment planning, and ensure proper and compliant documentation throughout the treatment process.

  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy and participate in multidisciplinary meetings.
  • Conduct intakes and discharges, and lead treatment planning.
  • Review and approve all clinical documentation and conduct regular quality assurance checks to ensure compliance and that all documentation is done in a proper way and in a timely manner.
  • Manage scheduling of clinical team to ensure appropriate case load and efficient delivery of program services.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage clinical staff, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes professional growth.
  • Act as key clinical contact with parents to communicate progress, and monitor and adjust treatment.
  • Monitor clinical outcomes and implement quality improvement initiatives to meet organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with other departments to optimize patient flow and resource allocation.
  • Serve as a liaison between management, staff, patients, and external stakeholders to promote effective communication and resolve issues.
  • In collaboration with the outreach and marketing team, act as the clinical representative of Guide as we build and maintain partnerships in the adolescent mental health field.

Required:

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or related field.
