Facilities Assistant:
Guardian Veterinary Specialists is seeking a full time facilities assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be dependable, self-motivated and experienced in general maintenance, groundskeeping, and facility upkeep. This position requires the ability to perform a variety of tasks, including basic plumbing, electrical, construction, landscaping, equipment maintenance, heavy lifting (up to 75lbs) and seasonal property care. A valid drivers license and ability to work independently while maintaining a safe and professional environment are required.
DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Perform general facility maintenance and repairs as needed.
- Maintain grounds, including landscaping, lawn care, and seasonal property upkeep.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and safe.
- Inspect, assemble, and ensure small equipment is in proper working order.
- Complete basic plumbing, electrical, construction, and repair projects.
- Operate company vehicles and provide shuttle transportation as required.
- Assist with snow removal during winter months and seasonal spring/summer cleanup.
- Perform routine lawn maintenance, including mowing, trimming, and debris removal.
- Maintain a safe and professional work environment at all times.
- Must possess a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / COMPENTENCY:
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
· Strong ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks. Highly detail oriented.
· Ability to work cross functionally to achieve desired results.
