Medical Director - Psychiatrist (Biloxi, MS)

Location: Biloxi, MS

Position Type: Full-Time, W-2

Salary: $320,000-$350,000

Setting: Acute Inpatient Psychiatric Hospital (Adult & Geriatric)

Schedule: Can be tele, but on-site or hybrid is preferred

Overview

A physician-owned, growing psychiatry group is seeking a Medical Director / Attending Psychiatrist to provide leadership and direct patient care in an acute inpatient psychiatric hospital setting in Biloxi, MS. This position serves adult and older adult populations at a traditional inpatient hospital level of care with an average daily caseload of approximately 18 patients.

This is an excellent opportunity for a psychiatrist who enjoys both clinical care and leadership within a collaborative, high-acuity environment.

Position Responsibilities

• Serve as Medical Director while maintaining an active inpatient caseload (avg. 18 patients)

• Provide psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and medication management

• Lead and collaborate with multidisciplinary treatment teams

• Ensure high standards of patient care and regulatory compliance

• Provide clinical oversight and mentorship to providers as needed

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from accredited institution

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry

• Active (or ability to obtain) Mississippi medical license

• Experience in acute inpatient psychiatry preferred

• Leadership experience strongly preferred
