Summary:

This role involves managing prescription refills, coordinating with pharmacies and healthcare providers, scheduling appointments, and maintaining accurate medical records. The Coordinator ensures that all medication needs are met, addresses patient concerns, and ensures compliance with medication management protocols.

Requirements
- Valid certification as a CMA
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in medication administration within a residential care setting
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication management
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team

Responsibilities:
- Medication Administration: Administer medications to individuals in accordance with prescribed dosage and schedule. Ensure accuracy and completeness of medication records.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of medication administration. Report any concerns or discrepancies in medication orders promptly.
- Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor individuals for any adverse reactions or side effects of medications. Report changes in individuals' health status to the healthcare team.
- Collaborative Teamwork: Work collaboratively with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care. Participate in team meetings and contribute to care planning.
- Training and Education: Stay informed about current medication administration practices and regulations. Provide education and support to individuals and their families regarding medication management.
