We are seeking a compassionate and mission-driven Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join a growing outpatient clinic focused on evidence-based treatment for substance use disorders (SUD).
In this role, you will practice at the top of your license within a collaborative, patient-centered environment designed to support both providers and patients. You will work alongside physicians, therapists, medical assistants, and peer recovery specialists to deliver high-quality addiction care while building meaningful relationships with patients throughout their recovery journey.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose and manage substance use disorders and related medical or psychiatric comorbidities

Conduct comprehensive medical and/or psychiatric evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans

Collaborate closely with clinic team members, including Medical Assistants, Peer Recovery Specialists, and Therapists, to coordinate care

Apply Motivational Interviewing and harm-reduction principles to support patient engagement and long-term recovery

Initiate and manage evidence-based SUD therapies and medications with mentorship from addiction medicine specialists

Provide compassionate, patient-centered care, fostering trust and strong relationships with patients and community partners

Identify opportunities to improve access to care for underserved and marginalized populations

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of addiction medicine treatments and best practices

Provide occasional cross-coverage for inpatient consult APPs to support continuity of care
Qualifications

Nurse Practitioner (FNP, AGNP, PMHNP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C)

Experience in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Behavioral Health, or Addiction Medicine preferred

Experience managing substance use disorders in an outpatient setting strongly preferred

Knowledge of SUD diagnoses, medications, and treatment modalities

Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary care teams

Physical Requirements

Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods while conducting patient visits, charting, and collaborating with team members

Frequent movement throughout the clinic to interact with patients and staff

Ability to lift or move up to 25 pounds occasionally (medical supplies or small equipment)

Sufficient visual acuity and manual dexterity to perform clinical assessments and procedures
