Position Summary
As a Pre-Litigation Staff Attorney, you will manage the critical early stages of consumer-defense matters—helping to ensure our clients are actively engaged. You’ll handle aspects of client intake, factual and procedural analysis, and negotiation support, ensuring each file is meticulously prepared. This role is ideal for a proactive attorney eager to hone investigative, drafting, and client-service skills in a focused, non-litigation environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Engagement & Intake: Lead welcome calls and routine check-ins, cultivating trust and gathering essential information to scope each case.
- Case Evaluation & Settlement Oversight: Review files for procedural and factual strengths, oversee non-litigation settlement reviews, and guide clients through proposed resolutions.
- Workflow Coordination & Collaboration: Manage deadlines, documentation, and case status in our system; ensure seamless handoffs to the litigation team when cases advance.
- Legal Research & Writing: Perform targeted research on statutes, regulations, and precedent; Draft clear, persuasive correspondence and internal analyses
Qualifications
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
- Active admission in Mississippi
- 0–1 years of professional experience (judicial clerkships or internships qualify)
- Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Strong interpersonal abilities and a passion for client advocacy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to the highest ethical standards
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
