Position Summary:
The Dining Room Coordinator is responsible for the overall coordination, appearance, and operations of the dining room. Additionally, the Dining Room Coordinator assists in unloading food carts, serving, and participates in overall cleaning tasks for the dining room.

Position Summary:
The Dining Room Coordinator is responsible for the overall coordination, appearance, and operations of the dining room. They provide guidance, training, and uphold management standards for Dietary Aides. Additionally, the Dining Room Coordinator assists in unloading food carts, serving, and participates in overall cleaning tasks for the dining room.
Schedule:
- 9:30-6pm Schedule
- Part Time, working 64 hours per pay period (2 weeks).
- Every other weekend (Saturday & Sunday) and holiday required.
- Responsible for the overall coordination, appearance, and maintenance of dining room and serving staff in order to create and maintain a positive experience for all customers.
- Fosters a positive team approach by encouraging and developing team members.
- Assists with scheduling of dietary aides to ensure shifts are adequately staffed.
- Sets tables and maintains workstations are in proper order.
- Serve and greet customers using proper serving etiquette and promote an inviting dining atmosphere to ensure a guests have a positive experience.
- Takes orders, provide service and requested items both graciously and courteously. Answer pertinent questions about menu items.
- Trains dietary aides on proper table settings, order taking, meal preparation, cleaning and other dietary aide job duties.
- Monitors and communicates dining area activity to determine dining flow between front and back kitchen and to determine seating of guests.
- Exemplify at all times Guardian Angles standards of cleanliness, sanitation and organization.
- Responsible for adhering to food quality, appearance and presentation standards at all times.
- Ensure company standards for a full staffed, operational and stocked dining room.
- Exhibit serving standards of speed, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Knowledge in all areas of serving, customer service, and shift/staffing organization.
- Includes team members in the decision making process.
- Clear dishes from tables during and after meal service, assist with dishwashing.
- Assists others with side work including serving, cleaning, stocking and food prep.
- Possess knowledge of diets provided and served correctly per policy and procedure.
- Assists with dining room set up and clean up with each meal.
- Assists with setting up trays, serving meals and beverages as needed including the delivering of carts.
- Assists with meal preparation as needed, makes juices for meals and prepares for snack time.
- Vacuums and cleans dining room.
- Follows departmental procedures including sanitation, safety and cleaning schedules, dress code and policies and procedures in general.
- Properly washes and stores all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment.
- Properly disposes of refuse.
- Mops kitchen floor and beverage area floor.
- Evening shift follows procedures for closing down and locking up for the night.
- Assist in providing a dignified, respectful, resident-centered environment for residents.
- Follows universal precautions, facility infection control guidelines, sanitation and safety standards of practice in all work and activities.
- Must be at least 16 years of age or older.
- Must have excellent verbal and written (read and write) communication skills.
- Must be self-motivated, with ability to organize and prioritize.
- Maintains good attendance and punctuality.
