The Project Installer for the Parking Division is an essential role for Guardian Access Solutions. This is an exciting field-based opportunity for a motivated technician with hands-on experience in automated parking systems and access control technology. If you bring at least two years of experience in service, installation, and/or project management within commercial low voltage systems, including access control, video surveillance, intrusion systems, and parking control and revenue technology systems.

What You Will Do
- Install, configure, and program automated parking and access control systems, including barrier arms and gates, exit and payment stations, ticket dispensers, card readers and proximity devices, license plate recognition (LPR) cameras, intercoms, video, and related equipment
- Install and troubleshoot field equipment such as readers, cameras, alarms, and control panels
- Prepare sites for installation, including digging post holes and trenches, mixing and pouring concrete, cutting loops, and pulling wire through conduit
- Perform all tasks on the work order accurately and efficiently, following company and manufacturer standards
- Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and software issues to restore full system performance
- Inspect sites and equipment to identify additional safety concerns or service needs
- Read and interpret written instructions, blueprints, schematics, site layouts, forms, reports, and work orders
- Plan and manage projects from start to finish, delivering on schedule and within budget
- Lead technicians and direct and coordinate onsite subcontractors
- Work with the warehouse and purchasing teams to get the parts and materials you need on time
- Complete pre- and post-project checklists, including quality assurance testing, verification of completion, and job site cleanup
- Gain final project acceptance from the customer and provide end-user training
- Keep detailed, accurate records of all work performed
- Attend manufacturer-sponsored training to stay current on parking and access control technology
- Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations, including safe disposal of hazardous materials such as concrete waste
- Follow all company safety and employment policies and carry out work in a safe, professional, and courteous manner
- Maintain reliable attendance and provide flexibility for project schedules
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
- Minimum 2 years of field-based experience with automated parking systems
- Familiarity with installing and servicing parking equipment from leading manufacturers such as TIBA, Amano, HUB, WPS, and SKIDATA
- Solid understanding of computer software, electronic hardware, low-voltage wiring, and relay logic
- Strong knowledge of low-voltage AC and DC electrical systems (12V/24V DC) and troubleshooting with multimeters and wire tracers
- Working knowledge of cabling, switches, IP configuration, and basic networking equipment
- High mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong project management and team coordination fundamentals
- Strong communication skills, with a focus on keeping all stakeholders informed
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a willingness to take part in on-the-job training
- As a condition of employment, employer will conduct a background check and drug screen prior to hire
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
- Ability to perform physical work outdoors year-round in a variety of weather elements for 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week
- Ability to understand, speak, and write English
- High School diploma or GED required
- Comfortable working at heights up to 25' on ladders or lifts
- Willingness to do physical tasks such as pulling cable, mounting devices on various surfaces, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
