The Access Control Installation Technician is an essential role for Guardian Access Solutions. This role assists with installation, servicing, repairs, and trouble shooting of access control, CCTV, camera, and access related project installations. Essential Job Functions
- Responsible for prepping the area for installation including surveying, establishing installation process, and following installation guidelines including safety and post-installation testing requirements
- Understands networking access control devices, cabling, and low voltage
- Assist with loading and unloading of tools, equipment, and supplies for the job
- Oversees cost effectiveness and proper disposal of leftover materials according to regulations and local requirements
- Responsible for keeping company vehicle clean and will notify the Program Manager with any issues regarding the vehicle
- Operate company vehicle in a safe manner
- Willingness to learn new products
- Demonstrates strong customer service and interacts professionally with customers resolving customer concerns
- Collaborates seamlessly within a team setting
- Regular attendance at work during typical work hours and provides appropriate flexibility for on-call and after hours emergency servicing needs
- Adherence to safety guidelines and policies
- Other job-related duties as assigned
- 2 years of low voltage with experience working in access controls and cameras
- Familiar with computers, networks, installation of access control devices, cameras, programming, and access controls systems
- As a condition of employment, employer will conduct a background check and drug screen prior to hire
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
- Willingness to travel out of town for projects
- Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to different work schedule including on-call rotation for emergency after-hours service
- Ability to perform physical work outdoors year-round in a variety of weather elements for 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week
- Ability to understand, speak, and write English
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent
