Lead Installation Technician – Gates
The Lead Installation Technician is an essential role for Guardian Access Solutions, responsible for leading a small team to complete project installations to the customer’s satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Supervises a small installation team
  • Responsible for training from start to finish for onsite jobs
  • Assigns tasks to workers and adheres to installation schedule
  • Assist with loading and unloading of tools, equipment, and supplies for the job
  • Responsible for keeping company vehicle clean and will notify the Manager with any issues regarding the vehicle
  • Responsible for prepping the area for installation
  • Digging post holes and trenches
  • Mixing and pouring concrete
  • Cutting loops and pulling wire through conduit
  • Diagnose and resolve errors and technical problems
  • Installation of new equipment
  • Cleaning up the job site
  • Willingness to learn new products
  • Demonstrates strong customer service and collaborates seamlessly within a team setting
  • Regular and punctual attendance at work and provides appropriate flexibility
  • Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 3-5 years’ of construction experience, preferably relating to gates
  • Prior experience in successfully leading small teams with essential leadership qualities
  • Well versed with electrical current and complete understanding of construction blueprints
  • Ability to perform independently as well as collaboratively within a team, and demonstrating a willingness to undergo on-the-job training as necessary
  • As a condition of employment, employer will conduct a background check and drug screen prior to hire
  • Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
  • Willingness to travel out of town for projects
  • Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to different work schedule including on-call rotation for emergency after-hours service
  • Ability to perform physical work outdoors year-round in a variety of weather elements for 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week
  • Ability to understand, speak and write English
EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS:
  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is performed in a fast-paced warehouse setting and in the field with frequent interruptions. The employee is required to stand; walk; dig; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 150 pounds. Duties may require standing and walking for long periods of time. The employee is expected to work alongside the crew and demonstrate the install and/or service process when necessary. The employee is required to perform the expected duties at offsite locations. Frequent need to drive a vehicle to other work locations is expected.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
  • Compensation Range: based on experience
  • Hours: 7AM-4PM (until daily tasks complete)
  • Seasonal overtime work is encouraged!
  • Offsite travel required
  • Must provide basic tools (we provide the rest)
