We are seeking a highly self-motivated Asbestos Supervisor with years of proven experience leading crews to head our remediation projects. You will report to our main shop in Franklin, MA, and travel daily with your crew to job sites across New England. Responsibilities
- Supervise asbestos removal and remediation activities, ensuring all work adheres to all safety regulations while being completed in the expected timeframe.
- Coordinate and oversee asbestos abatement teams, providing clear direction, oversight and hands-on support throughout each project phase.
- Conduct site inspections to assess asbestos hazards, plan safe removal procedures, and monitor ongoing work for compliance.
- Manage project schedules, resources, and materials to ensure timely completion of asbestos-related tasks.
- Maintain detailed documentation of all operations, including safety reports, inspection logs, waste manifests, supervisor logs and timesheets.
- Mentor team members on asbestos handling procedures, safety protocols, and proper use of PPE.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, regulatory agencies, and internal teams to communicate project progress and address any issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience in environmental safety or construction management, particularly with asbestos removal or hazardous materials.
- Strong management skills with the ability to lead diverse teams effectively in high-stakes environments.
- Experience in cleaning protocols related to hazardous materials.
- Knowledge of health and safety standards related to asbestos abatement and general workplace safety regulations.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and compliance reporting.
- Leadership: Qualities that inspire teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Drive: Highly self-motivated with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Licensing: Active and up-to-date Massachusetts (MA) and Rhode Island (RI) Asbestos Supervisor Licenses.
- Certifications: Current OSHA training and Confined Space certification.
- Screening: Must be able to pass a background check and a urine drug screen.
- Flexibility: Willingness to travel daily throughout the New England region.
Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
