Essential Job Responsibilities
- Interact with customers, general contractors (GCs), and joint venture (JV) partners to receive, process, and manage all commissioning logs, reports, photographs, deficiencies, and testing documentation related to project commissioning activities.
- Coordinate with internal project field and office staff to ensure compliance with project specifications, commissioning reports, field activities, and testing documentation associated with electrical commissioning.
- Review contract drawings, manufacturer manuals, project specifications, Requests for Information (RFI) responses, and meeting minutes to verify commissioning logs and reports fully comply with project requirements.
- Manage and oversee office and field staff to ensure compliance with established project commissioning procedures, documentation standards, and reporting requirements.
- Support and oversee electrical startup, testing, commissioning, and functional performance activities for critical electrical systems and equipment.
- Track, document, and communicate commissioning deficiencies, corrective actions, and testing progress to project stakeholders.
- Receive, implement, modify, and develop commissioning plans, reports, procedures, and related project documentation as required.
- Coordinate commissioning documentation turnover and project closeout deliverables to ensure timely and accurate completion.
- Ability to take verbal and written direction and provide accurate responses, reports, and related documentation.
- Ability to receive, manage, and transmit project documents and data electronically or through hard copy distribution methods.
- Knowledge of data center infrastructure and critical electrical systems including switchgear, Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS), batteries, Static Transfer Switches (STS), Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS), Power Distribution Units (PDU), medium voltage systems, transformers, metering systems, lighting controls, panelboards, switchboards, and related power distribution equipment.
- Familiarity with protective relays and power control systems, preferably SEL relays.
- Strong understanding of National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements and commissioning-related standards.
- Ability to read and interpret 2D plans, shop drawings, electrical schematics, and manufacturer documentation in electronic and hard copy formats.
- Ability to develop, implement, and manage commissioning plans, testing procedures, reports, and logs.
- Ability to observe, document, and communicate startup, testing, and commissioning deficiencies along with corrective action requirements.
- Strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with customers, contractors, project managers, engineers, field personnel, and commissioning teams in a fast-paced construction environment.

Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the electrical construction industry.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical testing and commissioning activities.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and related business software applications.
- Knowledge and experience with data centers or related critical power equipment functionality.
- Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements and electrical commissioning practices.
- Experience coordinating startup, testing, commissioning, and project closeout activities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate effectively with project stakeholders and field personnel.
- Electrical Engineering degree preferred but not required.
- Experience with mission critical facilities and data center commissioning.
- Familiarity with medium voltage systems, protective relays, and power system testing procedures.
- Experience managing commissioning documentation, testing logs, and project turnover requirements.
- Knowledge of electrical system startup, functional performance testing, and integrated systems testing.
- Experience working in large-scale commercial, industrial, or mission critical construction environments.
