Scope of Responsibility
The Endoscopy Registered Nurse is also responsible for pre-procedure assessments, care of sedated patients and intra-op and post-procedure. Responsible for specimen collection and labeling.
Responsible to Director of Endoscopy
- Education
- Associate Degree Nurse or Bachelor of Science Nursing
Training and Experience- Current licensure with the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners
- Obtains and maintains American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider
- Obtains and maintains ACLS within 6 months of employment
- One year acute care experience required
