What are the responsibilities and job description for the Radiologic Tech Cath Lab position at Guadalupe Regional Medical Center?
Shift - Mon-Fri 8a-4p, and rotating on call
Scope of Responsibility
Cath Lab Techs will perform special radiographic procedures and catheterizations according to policy and procedures, Scrub and assist physicians with radiology procedures and catheterizations, and operate Angiography and or Cath Lab system, injectors, PACS and ultrasound machine. Other duties include scheduling appointments, reviewing physician’s interpretations and patient files, monitoring patient’s heart rates, operating and caring for testing equipment, explaining test procedures, and reviewing findings to identify problems.
Responsible to the Director of Cath Lab
- Education
- Graduate of an accredited school of radiology
Training and Experience- Current registration with the State of Texas and ARRT
- Obtains and maintains American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider
- Obtains and maintains ACLS Provider, within 90 days of employment
- Minimum of 2 years of interventional Cath Lab experience preferred
- Formal cardiovascular technology training preferred
