Purpose of Position
The primary purpose of this position is to be p roficient in use of software purchased to support a clinical function.
Scope of Responsibility
The HCIS Clinical Coordinator RN will also train users in the use of software and maintenance of database, produce reports, troubleshoot problems, and serve as a liaison with vendors and support system .
- Current licensure with the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners
- 3 – 5 years of direct patient care experience required
- Previously worked in one of the hospital clinical departments preferred
- Significant exposure to and knowledge of hospital and clinical department operating policies and procedures preferred
- Knowledge of how, when and to what extent different hospital departments relate to and communicate with one another
- Ability to educate physicians on basic user training (Meditech Order Entry, P-Doc, Dragon Speak)
- Ability to effectively communicate to all levels of employees, management, physicians, and outside sources
- Excellent organizational skills required
- Able to work both independently and in a team setting
