This role supports clients through phone and web channels, resolves technical issues, and escalates complex problems as needed while delivering excellent customer service.This position is 100% onsite initially to support in-person training and mentorship. After demonstrating the ability to work independently, complete training, and meet performance metrics, candidates may be considered for a hybrid work schedule, typically after 3–6 months.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide Tier 1 desktop and client support in Microsoft Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and enterprise network environments.Troubleshoot desktop, laptop, mobile device, network, printer, and peripheral issues.Diagnose and resolve application, hardware, and software issues requiring detailed analysis.Create, assign, and manage incident tickets and work orders, ensuring follow-through to completion.Monitor network devices, interfaces, and applications for alarms and alerts across the enterprise.Correlate customer issues with alerts to eliminate duplication of events.Manage alarms and alerts using predefined business rules.Contact appropriate support teams for system-wide events such as outages or application failures.Provide after-hours support as required and engage on-call resources for urgent issues.Complete service request documentation within established timeframes.Promote team collaboration, knowledge sharing, and a strong service culture.Ensure work complies with existing policies, standards, run-books, and playbooks.Required QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent.1 year of IT service desk or help desk experience.Experience supporting users via telephone and web-based channels.Standard knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Windows operating systems, and enterprise networks.Strong customer service and communication skills.Ability to learn quickly and transfer knowledge to team members.Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.Ability to meet attendance expectations and work scheduled shifts.Typing speed: Minimum 35 words per minute (typing test results must be attached with submission).Desired QualificationsTwo- or four-year college degree and/or IT certification or equivalent experience.IT certifications preferred (e.g., CompTIA A ).1 year of general customer service experience (retail or call center).Experience with PC maintenance, troubleshooting, and hardware/software installation.Familiarity with iOS devices (iPhone, iPad) support.Basic knowledge of networking concepts including LAN, Wi-Fi, TCP/IP, printers, and peripherals.Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.Ability to work independently or as part of a team.Passion for safety and continuous improvement.Work ScheduleCore Schedule: Monday through FridayStart Times: Between 6:00 AM – 9:30 AMShifts: To be determinedTop Skills & Traits for SuccessWindows and Microsoft application experienceIT troubleshooting in a customer-facing or call-center environmentStrong customer service mindsetReliability and punctualityAdaptability to change and evolving prioritiesBenefitsMedical, Vision, and Dental Insurance Plans401k Retirement FundAbout the ClientA leading natural gas and electric energy company serving millions of customers across the United States.
