This role sits within the Enterprise Security Technology Compliance team, supporting a first-line-of-defense audit and compliance execution function. The team of six includes members focused on control audit and regulatory compliance. The position is within the Audit Controls support function, with day-to-day responsibilities centered on triaging and facilitating audit deliverables and requests, supporting Q4 client due diligence engagements and execution of controls owned, and working with control owners on supporting delivery of control testing evidence, including access management and change management. Successful candidates come from either a technical background or a compliance background. The team is highly collaborative, and candidates must have strong analytical skills, critical thinking skills, and the ability to dig in, ask questions, and hit the ground running.
Key Responsibilities- Responsible for implementing and auditing technology policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable regulations
- Duties include developing and enforcing technology standards and regulations, assessing risk, and supporting the implementation of technology controls
- Performs standard risk assessments, monitors and reports policy and controls compliance
- Facilitates and leads audit and compliance activities of high complexity or across multiple business units, including gathering technology controls evidence
- Participates in the preparation of materials for external audiences and delivers review sessions
- Coordinates with technology and risk management partners to track and remediate control gaps or findings
- Work collaboratively in a global team responsible for identifying technology risk and developing technology controls and supporting processes to align with regulatory requirements
- May lead small multi-functional team for specific projects
- Ability to breakdown complex or vague problems and steps through them in a rational way
- Able to evolve a decision as new information is gained
- Finds opportunities for process improvements
- Assists in implementing new controls and processes as technologies, risks, and regulations evolve
- Experience with ServiceNow and access management
- Audit support / compliance support experience
- Basic knowledge of programming languages in order to comprehend reading code and basic functions
- Ability to create business solutions that increase competitive advantage
- Ability to exercise good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
- Project management skills in order to handle diverse projects, often times simultaneously, and meet aggressive deadlines
- Ability to solve technical problems/processes and understand complex details
- Ability to increase operating efficiency with produce high quality technical solutions
- A high level of interpersonal and verbal communication skills necessary to relate to other people at their systems knowledge level
- Ability to analyze complex situations and problems and do the necessary research using multiple sources of information to arrive at innovative solutions
- Preference for candidates with financial industry experience
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering, or related field required
- MBA or other related advanced degree preferred
