Hours: 40 hrs/week (5 days/week)

Pay Rate: $26 – $29 per hour

Job Summary

The Central Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for preparing, sterilizing, storing, and delivering sterile instruments and supplies required for patient care. This role ensures all sterile products meet safety and quality standards to support surgeons, nurses, and other clinical teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform decontamination, cleaning, assembly, and sterilization of medical instruments and equipment.
• Inspect, package, and safely distribute sterile supplies to various hospital units.
• Maintain accurate inventory of equipment and instruments.
• Follow established protocols for sterilization, infection control, and safety.
• Read and interpret temperature gauges and sterilization indicators with accuracy.
• Support the healthcare team by ensuring timely delivery of sterile materials.

Required Skills & Experience

• Ability to read, write, perform basic math, and accurately read temperature gauges.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
• Ability to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.

Education Requirements

Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of any one of the following:
• An approved Aide Training Program, OR
• A Central Technician Program, OR
• Minimum 6 months of experience in Central Supply.

Preferred:

• No additional preferred education listed.

Licensure & Certification

Required:

• NICHSPDP Certification (mandatory for CSP Technician role)
• BLS from AHA
• Skill Checklist
