Global Science & Technology (GST), a GTSC company, is seeking an IT Specialist. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Set up and repair of computers and related equipment• Ability to work and communicate with customers both on phone and in person• Install and configure software• Design and set up computer networks• Some Travel required throughout West Virginia Qualification/Requirements: • A.S. or higher degree in Information Systems or related field• 1 year of hands-on experience with computers and networking• Demonstrated skill working with entry-level users to resolve problems• PC Hardware diagnostics/troubleshooting• Printer/Scanner diagnostics/troubleshooting• Desktop software troubleshooting• Document Management software installation/configuration and troubleshooting• Troubleshooting/Diagnostics of PC, printer, scanner, plotter• Installation /configuration of new PC, printer, scanner, plotter• Installation, configuration, and troubleshooting network switches, firewalls, and routers• West Virginia state-wide travel is required. (1-2 days per week).• A valid driver's license with a good driving record is also required Other Skills, Knowledge, Abilities:• Experience with Software installation and configuration• A , Network , and Security certification is preferred• SonicWall Firewall experience• Cisco networking experience/certifications Education/Training/Experience:• Experience with Software installation and configuration• A , Network , and Security certification is preferred• SonicWall Firewall experience• Cisco networking experience/certifications• A.S. or higher degree in Information Systems or related field• 1 year of hands-on experience with computers and networking Applicants selected will be subject to a government background investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $52,000 to 55,000 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range or this position and is just one component of the GST total compensation package for employees.
