Facilities Maintenance Worker
Highlights:
Location: Miami Gardens, FL
Position Type: 12 month Contract / Contract to hire (Possibility to convert to a direct hire employee based on performance)
Hourly / Salary: $17.50/hourly pay rate
Schedule: 1st shift - 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM / 32 hours expected per week
Residency Status: US Citizen
Position Description:
Our client is searching for a Facilities Maintenance Worker with the ability to work with hand tools. This person will perform manual labor and other minor tasks along with preventive maintenance on equipment, tools, and various facilities.
Skills Required:
- Ability to work with hand tools.
- The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, up to 100 pounds, occasionally.
- This position requires that the employee work outdoors occasionally
- Moves and sets up furniture; prepares rooms for scheduled programs and activities.
Preferred Skills:
- Ability to properly use equipment and materials related to general maintenance.
- Ability to use proper cleaning agents or equipment to dust, sweep, and/or mop floors.
- Willing to assist with office cleaning, trash disposal, as needed. Inspects mechanical equipment and makes minor repairs as necessary.
Required Education & Experience:
- High School diploma required
- Pressure washing, painting, and janitorial experience.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Drivers License at all times.
