The Desktop Support Tech plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of computer systems and related technology within a small IT team. This role involves providing direct technical support, performing hardware and software maintenance, and troubleshooting issues to maintain optimal system performance. The incumbent will report directly to the IT Manager and work closely with a small team of 1-5 members.

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide hardware support for desktops, laptops, and peripherals
  • Install and configure software applications
  • Troubleshoot system issues and errors
  • Perform regular system maintenance and updates
  • Maintain documentation of support processes and resolutions

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3 years experience in IT support
  • Proficient with Windows operating systems
  • Skilled in hardware troubleshooting
  • Experienced with software installation procedures
