DATA CENTER FACILITIES MANAGER

Type: Direct Hire
• $120K–$150K base performance bonus
OVERVIEW
We are seeking a Data Center Facilities Manager to lead the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and performance of a critical data center environment.
This role is responsible for overseeing all facility infrastructure, ensuring uptime, reliability, and operational efficiency across power, cooling, and supporting systems. The position will lead facilities teams, manage budgets, enforce operational standards, and drive continuous improvement across the site.
The ideal candidate brings strong leadership experience within mission-critical or data center environments, along with a proven ability to manage operations, maintenance programs, and cross-functional coordination.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Facilities Operations & Site Management
• Oversee all day-to-day data center facilities operations, ensuring high availability and system reliability
• Coordinate preventative maintenance, repairs, and project activities to avoid service disruption
• Monitor facility performance and support ongoing expansion and capacity initiatives
• Ensure all equipment and infrastructure are maintained in optimal operating condition
Leadership & Team Oversight
• Lead and develop facilities staff, including supervisors and technicians
• Manage daily workflows, staffing, and resource allocation across the facilities team
• Drive performance management, training, and workforce planning initiatives
• Foster strong cross-functional relationships with operations, engineering, and external partners
Process, Compliance & Governance
• Develop, implement, and enforce facility policies, procedures, and operational standards
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
• Support internal and external audits, ensuring successful and compliant outcomes
• Maintain and improve operational documentation, SOPs, and maintenance programs
Financial & Budget Management
• Manage departmental budgets including operating and capital expenditures
• Develop annual budgets, forecasts, and resource plans aligned to business growth
• Monitor expenses and ensure cost controls while maintaining operational excellence
• Partner with finance to ensure accurate reporting and tracking of expenditures
Business Continuity & Risk Management
• Support and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans
• Conduct annual testing and validation of recovery procedures
• Update risk assessments and ensure readiness for potential operational disruptions
• Lead incident response coordination related to facility systems
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
• 7–10 years of experience in data center, critical facilities, or related infrastructure environments
• Prior experience leading facilities or operations teams within a mission-critical environment
• Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, and cooling systems within data centers
• Experience managing preventative maintenance programs and vendor coordination
• Proven ability to manage budgets, forecasting, and operational planning
EDUCATION
• Associate’s degree required
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
