Position Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Architect to lead the design, development, and continued evolution of its enterprise data warehouse and business intelligence platform.

This role will architect scalable cloud-based data solutions, develop modern ETL/ELT pipelines, and support enterprise reporting and analytics. The ideal candidate has deep hands-on experience with Matillion, AWS Redshift, advanced SQL, dimensional data modeling, and enterprise data warehousing.

The Business Intelligence Architect will partner with business leaders, developers, analysts, and infrastructure teams to deliver reliable, secure, and high-performance data solutions that support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise data warehouse solutions.
• Architect scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Matillion.
• Build and optimize cloud data warehouse solutions within AWS Redshift.
• Translate business and reporting requirements into scalable data architectures.
• Design dimensional data models, including star schemas and Slowly Changing Dimensions.
• Map ERP and enterprise application data into standardized warehouse structures.
• Develop, test, deploy, and support batch and near real-time data pipelines.
• Define metadata, data lineage, transformation logic, and ETL development standards.
• Support Power BI reporting, dashboards, and enterprise analytics initiatives.
• Troubleshoot production issues and improve data quality, reliability, and performance.
• Promote best practices for data governance, security, architecture, and software delivery.
• Evaluate new cloud, data engineering, and business intelligence technologies.

Required Qualifications

• 7 years of experience designing and developing enterprise business intelligence or data warehouse solutions.
• Advanced SQL development and query optimization skills.
• Strong hands-on Matillion experience.
• Experience building modern ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Strong understanding of enterprise data warehouse architecture.
• Experience with dimensional modeling, star schemas, and Slowly Changing Dimensions.
• Experience integrating ERP platforms and other enterprise applications.
• Experience supporting enterprise reporting, analytics, and row-level security.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on AWS Redshift experience.
• Experience with AWS S3, EC2, and related cloud services.
• Python development for data engineering and automation.
• Power BI or similar enterprise visualization experience.
• Experience with JD Edwards or comparable ERP platforms.
• Knowledge of Informatica, SSIS, ODI, or similar integration tools.
• Experience supporting structured and unstructured data.
• Background working with enterprise-scale cloud data platforms.
