Position Overview
GTI Fabrication is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer (Electrical Systems) to lead the design, control, and continuous improvement of electrical and electromechanical manufacturing processes within a modular fabrication environment.
This role is responsible for developing scalable, efficient production methods for power distribution systems, control panels, and containerized energy enclosures. The ideal candidate has deep experience supporting electrical system builds from concept through production and a strong command of SolidWorks, AutoCAD Electrical, Lean Manufacturing, and ISO 9001 quality systems.
The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will collaborate cross-functionally with Electrical Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain to ensure manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and regulatory compliance throughout the product lifecycle.

The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will collaborate cross-functionally with Electrical Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain to ensure manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and regulatory compliance throughout the product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes for containerized electrical and control systems, power distribution assemblies, and modular enclosures.
- Develop detailed manufacturing documentation including electrical process flow diagrams, wiring schematics, work instructions, BOMs, routings, and test plans.
- Utilize SolidWorks and AutoCAD Electrical to design fixtures, harness layouts, and assembly tooling to support efficient, repeatable builds.
- Translate electrical and mechanical design requirements into robust production methods aligned with UL, NEC, and NFPA standards.
- Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) from prototype through full-rate production, ensuring manufacturability, quality, and scalability.
- Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to streamline electrical assembly and testing workflows, reducing waste and improving throughput.
- Support automation and digital manufacturing integration, including electrical test systems and data capture tools.
- Partner with Engineering, Quality, and Operations to perform DFM reviews, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
- Utilize ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) to manage process documentation and maintain real-time visibility into production operations.
- Maintain compliance with ISO 9001 standards; participate in internal and external quality audits.
- Mentor technicians and junior engineers on electrical manufacturing best practices, documentation control, and process discipline.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
- 8–15 years of experience in electrical or electromechanical manufacturing engineering, ideally within modular fabrication, energy, or defense sectors.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD Electrical for 3D modeling and 2D documentation.
- Strong working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and process optimization techniques.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems (NetSuite a plus).
- Demonstrated success in process development, DFM, and production scaling for electrical systems.
- Hands-on experience with power distribution, control panels, and wiring integration for low- and medium-voltage systems.
- Familiarity with UL, NEC, and NFPA compliance standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience with containerized HVAC, power, or control system integration.
- Knowledge of PLC systems, industrial automation, and harness manufacturing.
- Certification in Lean Six Sigma, PMP, or related process improvement discipline.
- Experience with simulation or digital twin tools for process or load analysis.
Salary : $70,000 - $120,000
