Paint Prep Masker

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable entry level Paint Prep Masker to join our team. This role is responsible for preparing materials forr painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking surfaces to ensure high-quality paint finishes. The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial or Manufacturing paint preparation and a strong work ethic.

Requirements

• Clean, sand, and mask surfaces of parts or equipment in preparation for painting.
• Apply masking tape and paper to protect areas that should not be painted.
• Use hand and power tools to prepare surfaces as required.
• Inspect surfaces for defects and ensure proper adhesion of masking materials.
• Follow work orders, blueprints, and verbal instructions to prepare parts accurately.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Assist painters with movement and positioning of parts.
• Comply with all company safety and quality standards.
  
  

Qualifications

• Knowledge of masking techniques and surface preparation tools.
• Ability to read and follow work orders and technical instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, aerospace, or industrial paint environments.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and PPE requirements.
  
  

Education

High School diploma or GED

1st - M-Thurs 5:00am-3:30pm

2nd - M - Thurs 4pm - 2:30 am
