Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily manufacturing operations, including production, scheduling, maintenance, and quality assurance.
- Supervise and develop production supervisors and team leads, ensuring accountability and performance consistency.
- Monitor and improve key metrics: throughput, scrap rates, downtime, yield, and labor productivity.
- Drive Lean manufacturing initiatives, including 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement projects.
- Enforce OSHA safety standards and environmental compliance, promoting a culture of safety.
- Partner with Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, and HR to align production with business priorities.
- Manage labor and material costs to ensure operational efficiency and budget compliance.
- Support capacity planning, forecasting, and workforce development.
- Handle employee relations: performance evaluations, coaching, corrective actions, and shift scheduling.
- Design and implement training programs to upskill the manufacturing workforce.
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment—ideally in defense, energy, or aerospace sectors.
- Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, root cause analysis, and 5S workplace organization.
- Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems (Paycom or UKG preferred).
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and implement process change.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Lean/Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher).
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards and audit readiness.
- Full-time, on-site role in a fast-paced, production-focused facility.
- Occasional overtime or weekend work may be required based on operational needs.
