Position Overview

GTI Energy is seeking a results-driven Operations Manager to lead daily manufacturing operations at our advanced facility in Goodyear, AZ. This role is responsible for ensuring operational efficiency, production quality, safety compliance, and on-time delivery within a fast-paced industrial environment. The ideal candidate has a strong background in manufacturing operations, team leadership, and Lean process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily manufacturing operations, including production, scheduling, maintenance, and quality assurance.
• Supervise and develop production supervisors and team leads, ensuring accountability and performance consistency.
• Monitor and improve key metrics: throughput, scrap rates, downtime, yield, and labor productivity.
• Drive Lean manufacturing initiatives, including 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement projects.
• Enforce OSHA safety standards and environmental compliance, promoting a culture of safety.
• Partner with Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, and HR to align production with business priorities.
• Manage labor and material costs to ensure operational efficiency and budget compliance.
• Support capacity planning, forecasting, and workforce development.
• Handle employee relations: performance evaluations, coaching, corrective actions, and shift scheduling.
• Design and implement training programs to upskill the manufacturing workforce.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment—ideally in defense, energy, or aerospace sectors.
• Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, root cause analysis, and 5S workplace organization.
• Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems (Paycom or UKG preferred).
• Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and implement process change.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Lean/Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher).
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards and audit readiness.
  
  

Working Conditions

• Full-time, on-site role in a fast-paced, production-focused facility.
