Our production facilities and customer-facing builds require safe, code-compliant, and high-quality electrical execution across manufacturing operations and finished products.

Position Overview

GTI Energy is seeking a Master Electrician to lead advanced electrical installation, troubleshooting, code compliance, and technical execution across facility operations and modular product builds. This role is responsible for ensuring all electrical work meets NEC requirements, local jurisdictional standards, engineering drawings, and internal quality expectations.

The Master Electrician will serve as the senior electrical authority on-site, supporting production, facilities, engineering, and leadership teams. This role requires deep technical knowledge, active licensure where required, and strong hands-on leadership in industrial or commercial electrical environments.

Key Responsibilities

Electrical Installation & Technical Execution

  • Support electrical integration of modular systems including data centers, power systems, and engineered infrastructure builds
  • Install, modify, and upgrade electrical systems in accordance with drawings and specifications
  • Ensure all electrical work is executed safely, efficiently, and to code

Code Compliance & Inspection Readiness

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for NEC compliance, electrical standards, and jurisdictional requirements
  • Ensure installations meet permitting, inspection, and regulatory standards
  • Support internal and external inspections, AHJ coordination, and corrective actions as needed
  • Maintain documentation required for permits, inspections, and compliance records

Troubleshooting & Maintenance

  • Diagnose and repair electrical issues related to facility systems, manufacturing equipment, and modular builds
  • Troubleshoot power quality issues, controls issues, wiring faults, and equipment failures
  • Support preventative maintenance programs for electrical infrastructure and critical systems
  • Minimize downtime through timely response and effective root cause resolution

Leadership & Oversight

  • Provide technical guidance to electricians, apprentices, contractors, and production teams
  • Review electrical work for quality, safety, and code compliance
  • Support planning, labor allocation, and prioritization of electrical projects and maintenance tasks
  • Train team members on best practices, safety standards, and workmanship expectations

Manufacturing & Product Support

  • Partner with Engineering and Production teams to support electrical builds, revisions, and production readiness
  • Interpret schematics, one-lines, panel drawings, BOMs, and installation packages
  • Support system integration including switchgear, controls, cable routing, grounding, and commissioning readiness
  • Assist with new product introduction (NPI) and prototype electrical builds

Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement

  • Support Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Continuous Improvement initiatives within electrical operations
  • Apply structured problem solving including Root Cause Analysis, 5 Whys, and Fishbone methodologies
  • Improve installation efficiency, material flow, quality, and rework reduction
  • Standardize electrical work practices and documentation

Safety & Risk Management

  • Maintain a strong safety culture aligned with OSHA, NFPA 70E, lockout/tagout, and company standards
  • Ensure safe energized work practices, PPE compliance, and hazard mitigation
  • Conduct job hazard reviews and reinforce safe work execution across teams

Required Qualifications

  • Active Master Electrician license in applicable jurisdiction or ability to obtain as required
  • 7–12 years of electrical experience in industrial, commercial, manufacturing, or mission-critical environments
  • Strong knowledge of NEC, electrical theory, power distribution, controls, and troubleshooting
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, one-lines, blueprints, and technical drawings
  • Experience leading electricians or electrical crews
  • Strong hands-on skills with conduit, panel wiring, controls, and equipment installation
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications
