He/she will be responsible for quality instruction and for effective participation and interest in the total affairs of the college.The instructor will provide instruction in therapeutic massage. He/she will be responsible for the delivery of information provided in lesson plans, including lecture and demonstration through hands-on techniques. He/she will always exhibit professional and ethical behavior. He/she will present qualifications as required by the North Carolina Board of Massage and Bodywork Therapy, either holding a license in the same or a degree in the field they are teaching. Much of the teaching will be demonstrations in hands-on techniques. Work schedule varies (days, evenings, and weekends) according to teaching assignment.The Therapeutic Massage Program is regulated by the North Carolina Board of Massage and Bodywork Therapy and complies with all of the rules and regulations set for in NC ADMINISTRATIVE CODE (TITLE 21, CHAPTER 30: SECTION .0612) – INSTRUCTIONAL STAFF QUALIFICATIONS.
