Key Responsibilities:
- Attend kickoff meetings and support Construction Managers and Project Managers on all fiber-related initiatives.
- Oversee relocation and enterprise fiber projects, both above-ground and below-ground.
- Represent Crown Castle as the SME for construction and field installation matters.
- Work directly with PSEG and other pole owners in NY/NJ on permitting, licensing, pole transfers, and make-ready coordination.
- Clear conflicts for PADOT, DELDOT, NJDOT, and respond within each jurisdiction’s systems.
- Handle pole transfers: vendor scheduling, PO creation, invoice reconciliation, and progress tracking.
- Manage NJUNS, SPANS, and coordinate between utilities and contractors for completion timelines.
- Use Power BI and business intelligence tools to analyze construction data, predict impacts, and track OTP/CRM assignments.
- Maintain accurate tracking in project management systems with complete job documentation.
- Visit job sites for surveys, safety inspections, and construction closeouts.
- Provide direction to general contractors according to job specifications.
- Submit change management tickets, create pole maps, and generate work orders.
- Support overlash applications to power companies.
- Review As-Built drawings to ensure accurate quantity validation.
- Act as an escalation point for contractor corrective actions post-closeout.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships to potentially drive additional service work.
QualificationsEducation
- High School Diploma or GED required (or equivalent experience)
Experience
- 0–2 years of experience in telecommunications/wireless, preferably within:
- Outside Plant (OSP) fiber construction
- Inside Plant (ISP) fiber installation
- Experience working with utility pole owners, municipalities, or DOTs preferred
- Knowledge of the NY/NJ fiber market is a strong advantage
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $29.00 - $39.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
