Now in our 45th year, we are one of the top builders in new home construction in Central Jersey and have earned our long-standing reputation for honesty and integrity in our industry. We strive to make the building process as painless as possible for our clients by providing attentive, detail-oriented project managers who run daily site operations; a team of dedicated craftsmen and carpenters -- our own employees -- on every job; access to an extensive network of trusted local trade contractors; and a thorough estimating process to fully explain the work to be performed with accurate budgets.

We are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented construction estimator (at least 5 years of experience) to join our team in Long Branch, NJ, and to learn the Monteforte Construction estimating process, which we have honed through the years to provide our customers with thorough, professional project estimates. Your expertise in estimating construction materials, labor, and project timelines will contribute to the overall success of our company and to client satisfaction

Job Responsibilities:

Research and review quotes from subcontractors, including proactive follow up to ensure timely receipt.

Create detailed and accurate cost estimates based on project requirements, using established company templates and estimation software, including estimation of materials, labor, equipment, subcontractor services, etc.

Identify potential cost-saving measures while maintaining high-quality standards.

Monitor construction progress in collaboration with project management staff.

Assist in development of work orders and change orders.

Responsible for researching and purchasing of fixtures, doors, windows, and other hard goods and soft goods.

Research and evaluate our established subcontractor relationships and assess qualifications of other local subcontractors for future collaborations.

Work closely with the company owner, clients, project managers, and other staff members as an integral member of the team.

Understand, navigate, and stay abreast of building codes, safety codes, local ordinances, and construction industry processes/improvements.

Ability to work closely and professionally with architects, interior designers, and other construction industry professionals.
