Job Title: Lead Java Developer with OMS experience (Retail domain)
Multiple Locations: San Ramon, CA or Seattle, WA
Work Model: Regular Onsite
Employment Type: Long-Term Contract
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Lead Java Developer with OMS experience (Retail domain) with strong expertise in Java Microservices, Kubernetes, and Cloud-Native architecture on AWS to support large-scale Retail Order Management Systems (OMS). The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building and supporting highly scalable distributed applications within modern cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based microservices supporting enterprise retail applications.
• Build and deploy cloud-native applications on AWS using containerized environments.
• Manage and deploy applications using Kubernetes and Docker.
• Support and enhance Order Management Systems (OMS) including order processing, fulfillment, and integrations.
• Develop and maintain REST APIs and service integrations with internal and external retail systems.
• Troubleshoot production issues and ensure high availability, performance, and scalability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including architecture, DevOps, and product teams.
Required Skills
• 8 years of experience in Java development with strong Microservices architecture expertise.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot / REST API development.
• Strong experience with Kubernetes and containerization (Docker).
• Experience building cloud-native applications on AWS.
• Experience with distributed systems and API integrations.
• Prior experience working with Retail or eCommerce Order Management Systems (OMS).
Preferred Skills
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of event-driven architecture or messaging systems.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
