Job Title: Senior .NET Developer (Hybrid - Contract to Hire)
Location: Lansing, MI
Duration: 12 Months
Interview Process: In-person only (no exceptions)
Pay Rate: $60/hr on W2
Note: No Visa sponsorship by client as of now.
Work Arrangement
Hybrid role. Onsite two days per week (Wednesdays and Thursdays required).
No remote-only option.
Local candidates strongly preferred. Non-local candidates must relocate at their own expense and start onsite from day one.
Job Description
Seeking an experienced Senior .NET Developer to support ongoing maintenance, enhancements, and new development for agency applications, including the FISH system. This role works within a team of technology professionals and is responsible for full SDLC responsibilities including design, development, QA testing, change management, documentation, and ongoing application support.
This position collaborates closely with Project Management to meet project milestones and quality standards while ensuring reliable, secure, and well-documented technical solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and implement .NET-based applications and system enhancements.
- Maintain and enhance existing applications, ensuring performance, security, and functionality.
- Analyze business requirements, create technical specifications, and translate them into high-quality code.
- Troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and deliver timely resolutions.
- Prepare detailed documentation, including technical designs, instructions, and reports.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, contributing to planning, estimation, and retrospectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and effectively communicate technical concepts to various audiences.
- Support project quality, timelines, and deliverables.
- Provide excellent customer service, build strong working relationships, and work collaboratively with users and team members.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with MVC, C#.NET, VB.NET, ASP.NET, XML, AJAX, HTML5, CSS3, AngularJS, Angular, Bootstrap, JavaScript, jQuery, TypeScript, Git, MS Azure, T-SQL, MS Visual Studio, and MS Office.
- Understanding of data communications, data processing, and software operating principles.
- Experience with object-oriented programming, data modeling, and application development tools.
- Ability to convert specifications into code, analyze data, and solve problems effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including documentation and presentation capabilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a software development team, manage assigned tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Experience with Agile principles and working in a Scrum environment.
- Knowledge of Project Management Methodology (PMM).
