Job Title: Mainframe Developer (Hybrid)
Location: Trenton, NJ
Duration: 6 months
Pay Rate: $60/hr on C2C / 1099 all inclusive OR $55/hr on W2

Job Description
The contractor will collaborate with the Information Technology Office (ITO) and ATCSU unit to provide technical expertise and develop solutions that meet business and system requirements. All work will be overseen by a Project Manager or designated ITO representative.
The Mainframe Developer will work from program specifications or develop them as needed. Responsibilities include coding, modifying programs, performing unit testing, preparing technical documentation, and working with end users during system testing. Experience in database conversions is highly preferred.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in COBOL, CICS, and DB2, including coding, testing, and debugging.
- Proficiency with IBM OS/JCL (MVS).
- Experience with CICS environments.
- Experience with IDMS/DC to CICS conversions and IDMS to DB2 conversions (desired).
- Ability to participate in usability testing and collaborate with end users during system testing.
- Experience developing technical and supportive documentation.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with stored procedures.
- Minimum of 5 years of overall IT and technical experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical education (4 years required).
Responsibilities
- Gain a full understanding of the Civil Case Management system and related Judiciary applications to support development needs.
- Develop and/or interpret program specifications.
- Deliver new or enhanced programs based on requirements.
- Conduct unit testing and participate in system testing with business users.
- Produce detailed and accurate supportive documentation.
